Few more vacation pics
We are home, well I am. Michael left this morning for Scottsdale. He will be back tomorrow. We had a great vacation, and now have lots to do here at the house. We are planning to move September 1, but will not know for sure until August 23rd. So, we are going to look at some housing options there, and get all our ducks in a row and be ready to go if that is the case. We decided that if the project passes, it is best for us to go ahead and get out there before the baby is born. I really want to get things set up and settled before our lives are turned upside down. Your continued prayers in all this are appreciated!
29 Weeks
This week...
"Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day."
Trying to get lots of calcium :-) We want strong bones.

Vacation flies by...
Out time here is almost to an end. We can't believe we have been here for a week now. The time has flown by. I have gotten some great sleep the last couple of nights, and I am so thankful for that blessing. Today is Annual Meeting- they have a annual meeting about the club and then there are lots of festivities that take place. The boys are really excited to compete in some relays and games. Here are a few pics from the week...

Jamie Rogers took my maternity pictures last week. We had a great time playing around and taking some really sweet pictures. My favorites are not ones that I can share on the internet, but here are a few that are safe for viewing by all. Thank you so much Jamie- you are the best!!! Check her out and book her for your children and maternity pictures- she is on my link list!

28 Weeks
This week...
"By this week, your baby weighs a little over 2 pounds and measures almost 15 inches from the top of his head to his heels. He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes. With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. He's also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world."
His movements continue to get bigger and stronger, but they still feel a bit boney. He needs some time to get some meat on his bones. My back has been hurting pretty bad, and I am not getting much sleep at night because of it... preperation for less sleep, or so I am told :-) But all in all still feelin' pretty good, just uncomfortable.

Sweet Time
We are on vacation! It is 6:45 a.m. and Michael and I just watched the sunrise together sippin on some coffee. For once, I was actually awake before Michael this morning. We got here friday- here is Sequanota in Charlevoix, Michigan. I know you must be thinking, Michigan for vacation-why? Well, I would have been thinking that too and I grew up coming to Michigan, but this place is AMAZING. Sequanota is a little private club on Lake Charlevoix that Michael's family has been coming to for over 75 years. They have a house here that has an amazing view. You can just sit out on the porch and stare out at God's magnificent creation. Michael's family comes every summer for about 2 weeks, and I am so thankful that our kids will have a place like this to visit when growing up. Everyone knows everyone because they have all been coming for many many years. The parents and the kids grew up together here in the summers.
Yesterday we relaxed on the beach. I read some magazines and tried to tan little Trev. I used lots of sunscreen though :-) Last night we went to a picnic on the beach on Lake Michigan. It is what you do here at Sequanota on a Sunday evening. They build a big fire and everyone brings hot dogs and smores! It is great! The weather is perfect. Mid 80's-90's during the day and very cool at night.
Here are some pics so far.

VACATION and prayer needed
We head out tomorrow morning to Michigan for 10 days. We are so excited for a vacation- our little babymoon. Michael's family has a lakehouse on Lake Charlevoix that feeds into Lake Michigan, and it is absolutely awesome! We will join his family there, minus sister Laura who has to stay here for school- we will miss her!
Upon our return, we have some big decisions regarding our move to Scottsdale to make and start acting on. Please pray for us as we make the decision to move before or after baby. I am being stretched for patience and peace with this decision, and I know the Lord has it all taken care of already, but I have a hard time not knowing. :-) It just does not seem ideal either way, but who am I kidding. Is life ideal, to our standards anyway? I am just getting very anxious at the thought of our little guy entering this world and everything being okay. I know that I need not worry, but I can't seem to really hold onto that! I am a worrier and a planner, and I am doing better with that but it is a constant struggle. I need to really grasp a hold of His word that I have read oh so many times...
"So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Baby Shower
We had a wonderful time celebrating with friends and family! Thank you so much to our sweet friends who worked so hard to make it so special! My camera died so I did not get many pictures, but this is what I have. We got so many sweet little things, and it makes me so excited for his arrival. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
27 Weeks! Yay for Timester 3!
This week...
"This week your baby weighs almost 2 pounds and is about 14.4 inches long with his legs extended. He can now open and close his eyes, and he sleeps and wakes at regular intervals. He may suck his fingers, and although his lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with assistance — if he were to be born prematurely. Chalk up any rhythmic movement you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and isn't bothersome to him, so enjoy the tickle. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. Wonder what he's thinking?"
We went to the Dr. yesterday and everything is looking good! He continues to be quite active, and I can really tell that he is growing, as my belly is also :-) He has dropped down in the last week and is sittin low. My back is hurting from the weight and my hands and feet are swollen, but all in all I still feel pretty good. Three months to go... :-)

A proud mama...
I just have to brag on my dog Bagby for a sec. If you know him, you know he has quite a personality. He is very funny- he reminds us of the donkey on Shreck- annoying but cute! He has this problem of running off outside- my fault in his early training or lack there of :-) Well, we were working in the yard this last weekend and Bagby sat in the yard for hours without running off. He listens to Michael a lot better than me- surprise surprise. I was so proud of him for being such a good boy. This was a really big deal for him! He is such a good dog, and I hope and pray that he is good with the baby. He likes kids-hopefully he will adjust okay. Here are some pics of his front yard freedom!

Another year
I had a pretty nice birthday all in all! Although, I ruined most of my husband's plans for the day... He was trying to stick little happy birthday notes around the house before he left for work, but I woke up and came out. Sorry babe! I baked some cinnamon rolls (this was at 5:30 am), read a little, and went back to sleep for an hour. I went and worked out and then I had to go to the ENT Dr. to get something checked out in my nose- I have a problem in my sinus. If you could be praying for that I would really appreciate it. Basically, I have a polyp in my sinus (yuck) and have to have a CT scan after the baby comes to see how big it is and to make sure it is benign. It is quite possible that I will have to have surgery to have it removed. Little unnerving! Happy Birthday me :-)
My sister in law Micki baked me a cake and brought it over- very sweet! My niece, Kylie, sang Happy birthday to me for the 5th time that day - she loves birthdays, well really birthday cake! She left me a message that morning that was soooooo precious. Gosh I love that girl!
Then I went shopping the rest of the afternoon with some gift cards I got. Michael tried to plan a surprise birthday dinner, but I kind of figured it out. Several things were a bit odd to me, and I assumed that there would be people there.
Aside, from the news at the Dr., it was a very nice day. Thanks to my sweet husband, and all my friends and family for your kind words and wishes! I love you more than you know!

And his name shall be....
TREVIN MATTHEW KERSEY!
"The boy's name Trevin \t-re-vin\ is pronounced TREV-in. It is of Old English origin, and its meaning is "fair town"."
Matthew is for Michael's big brother that passed away when Michael was in college. He is most definately missed and never forgotten!
Trevin is a name that is growing in popularity, but I had never heard it before. We both like it- it is different but does not sound way out there!
This was a hard thing for us to decide on... not that we had very many disagreements. It is just that his name is such a big thing to decide- it is a permanent part of his life here on earth. PRESSURE! But what an awesome privilege! We can't promise that we won't change our minds, but I think we have the winner. Little TK will be a stud!

26 Weeks!
This week...
"Your baby now weighs a little under 2 pounds and measures about 14 inches, from head to heel. The nerve pathways in his ears are developing, which means his response to sounds is growing more consistent. His lungs are developing now, too, as he continues to take small breaths of amniotic fluid — good practice for when he's born and takes that first breath of air. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days."
The growth of our little boy (i thought i had a belly at 10 weeks :-)- i can only imagine what i will look like 3 months from now)...
10 weeks.

14 weeks.

18 weeks.

22 weeks.

26 weeks.

He continues to be quite active most days. His movements are getting so much bigger, and starting to be a "little" unpleasant at times. It truly is incredible! I am very thankful to feel his movements... it keeps my mind more at ease! We are very excited to celebrate this next weekend with friends and family at our baby shower.

Our Busy Few Days
Last year on July 3rd, Michael and I got engaged in Santa Fe, NM! We decided to eat our frozen wedding cake now, since we won't be moving the cake to AZ with us (if we ever move!!!!) The white cake was NASTY- it smelled bad too! The chocolate one was not so bad, but we just had a bite. Here is a pic of our 7 month old cakes...

Tuesday night, we went out to dinner with some friends at BJ's and much to my surprise we celebrated mine and Robyn's birthdays. It is not until next week, but Robyn will be out of town. We have the same birthday, born a year apart. Side note- Robyn and I met in the 8th grade and bonded over a conversation about our July birthday! Our friend Lindsay was so sweet and got us a cake, flowers, and a very nice goodie bag! We then, headed to Addison and watched the Kaboom Town fireworks from a parking lot. We had a great time laughing and just being with our amazing friends! Here are some pics!

On Wednesday, July 4th, we went out to my parents house and cooked out with the fam. We then went to Robyn's parents house and cooked out again with her family and some of our friends. Here are some pics from my parents house... one is of the super high lake that used to be really far from their house and is now almost to their fence!

We feel so blessed with such amazing friends and family! Thanks guys for enriching our lives! We love you!

25 Weeks as of Sunday, July 1!
This week...
"Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — a pound and a half — doesn't sound like much, but he's beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he'll start to look more and more like a newborn. His hair is probably recognizable now (in color and texture), although both may change after he's born."
